These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PlateShift mobile apps and related services (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

User Content

You may provide content such as recipes, photos, and notes (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant PlateShift a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service.

AI Features

PlateShift uses AI to generate recipe modifications, nutrition estimates, and suggestions. These outputs are provided for informational purposes only and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for verifying ingredients, cooking safety, allergens, and dietary suitability.

Subscriptions & Purchases

PlateShift may offer paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play. Pricing, billing cycles, and subscription terms are displayed within the app before purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Refunds

All purchases made through PlateShift are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. As a result, refunds are subject to the policies of those platforms.

PlateShift does not directly process payments and cannot guarantee refunds. In general, all sales are considered final unless required otherwise by applicable law or platform policies.

If you believe you were charged in error or are eligible for a refund, please contact Apple or Google support directly. In limited cases, we may review refund requests at our sole discretion.

Prohibited Conduct

• Reverse engineering, scraping, or abusing the Service.
• Uploading illegal content or infringing intellectual property rights.
• Attempting to bypass paywalls, usage limits, or security systems.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. PlateShift does not guarantee accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlateShift shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or for operational, legal, or security reasons.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
